The May receipts are in and the Transit Authority of Warren County is carrying some debt.
“Right now we are about $40,000 in the hole; I’d rather not put us in the hole any further,” said TAWC executive drector, John Aldrich.
TAWC is currently carrying a budget deficit of $43,776.48 from the shared ride program, but discussed the possible need to offer extra trips to Erie as it is their second most profitable route.
