Conewango Ave. work on track to hit Sept. 29 target completion date
Warren Times-Observer, 8/12/2011.
Excerpt: "The only thing impacting it now is weather," Miskimmin said. "Unfortunately, the long-range forecast calls for rain several days in a row."
Remaining work includes Americans with Disabilities Act ramps, Miskimmin said, as well as driveway adjustments, completion of a wearing course, curbing, signage and pavement markings. Due to conditions on the street, he said the project has been challenging.
When the project concludes, Miskimmin said motorists can expect a much better ride. Drainage will also improve, he said, as there will be new curb lines.
"The old lines were nonexistent or in terrible shape," Miskimmin said. "The ride will be better because the trolley ties were eliminated."
